When setting your watch

Four rules that protect the date mechanism and the water resistance of your watch.

  • Make sure your watch is completely dry before making any adjustments.
  • Gently pull out the crown to the appropriate position to perform the required setting.
  • Do not change the date between 22:00 and 04:00, as the date mechanism is active during this period and may be damaged.
  • After setting the time or date, press the crown back in carefully and – for models with a screw-down crown – screw it tightly against the case to preserve the water resistance of your watch.

The red arc on the 24-hour dial is the time between 22:00 and 04:00.

These precautions help prevent unnecessary wear on the mechanism and protect the seals responsible for water resistance. Regular maintenance by a certified service centre is recommended to keep your watch in perfect working condition.
